(Willis). This C Major concerto is classically-inspired, and the outer movements recall Mozartean elegance intermingled with a dash of Haydn-esque humor. The second movement is warm and lyrical, and deeply inspiring. The concerto is perfect for students anxious to play (but not quite ready for) the daunting concerto repertoire. The packaging includes a 2nd Piano insert, as well as a CD recording of Peskanov playing both the accompanying piano part and the solo piano part...
